hi everyone,
i'm on the soundtrack of a wonderful new film, AKA Tommy Chong, directed by Josh Gilbert. it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and has won several awards, including best documentary at the US Comedy Arts Fest in Aspen. it's nyc premier is on June 14, with drinks to follow. would love to see you all there!

"In 2003, Chong (of the comedy duo Cheech & Chong) was charged with selling bongs over the internet and sentenced to nine months in federal prison. Chong, a vocal opponent of Bush’s handling of the War on Terror, was singled out among 55 defendants to serve time. His house was raided by a fully armed SWAT team as part of John Ashcroft's "Operation Pipe Dreams," a nation-wide drug paraphernalia crackdown. Director Josh Gilbert follows the story from the time of the raid through Chong's trial and incarceration...revealing the government’s use of the judicial system to scapegoat a counterculture icon."
